Race Day Information

Please read the following  carefully for race day instructions.

Park gates open at 6am

Start Time

  • Race starts promptly at 8am

Pre-race briefing

  • Sat. 7:30 am. It will be short!

  • All runners must park in the overflow lot across the street from the entrance on Fort Bragg Rd.

    • If needed, runners can drop off their gear at the auditorium but must then move their car to the overflow lot.

  • Family members, friends, and pacers arriving later in the day or evening may be able to park in the visitor center lot at the discretion of the park management.

Drop Bags & Gear

  • Runners are welcome to bring chairs or coolers to set up along the visitor center sidewalk, but tents are not allowed.

  • We will provide a drop bag tent for gear, however, runners are also welcome to store their gear in the auditorium (which is just steps from the course) or along the sidewalk.

Aid Stations & Facilities

  • There will be two aid stations: our main aid station will be at the park visitor center, and the satellite aid station is at approximately the 3mile mark, at the corner of Bethesda and Connecticut roads. We will have various hot and cold food (pizza, soup, sandwiches, etc.) plus traditional ultrafare such as candy and chips. We typically provide several vegetarian and vegan options.

  • The auditorium is reserved specifically for our runners and their families & friends and will be open for the duration of the race. There are indoor restrooms in the visitor center, which will also be open for the duration of the race.

Family and Friends

  • Family, friends, and crew are certainly welcome (it is a very accessible park with a comfortable auditorium), but please be aware that visitors may be required to park across the street in the overflow lot.

  • Family wishing to visit runners elsewhere on the course can also drive to the small parking area at the corner of Connecticut Ave. and Bethesda Ave. (see the Weymouth map for directions).
